As a team effort, the partners and senior staff of Deloitte & Touche committed $100,000 to improved health care in Niagara. “Our communities matter to us and we are happy to support this very worthwhile cause. Projects and initiatives like the new hospital and cancer centre strengthen our community and enhance our quality of life.” said Doug Hunt, Associate Partner, Deloitte & Touche.
This generous donation will support the construction of the health-care complex and Walker Family Cancer Centre currently under construction in west St. Catharines, and scheduled to open in early 2013. This new state-of-the-art facility will be among the most up-to-date in the province and offer more comprehensive services for patients suffering from cancer, mental illness, kidney and heart disease.
“The It’s Our Time Campaign team is very grateful to our community supporters like those at Deloitte & Touche and the Deloitte Foundation” said Campaign Volunteer Tim Dool. “With their help, Niagara will boast a facility designed to keep pace with changes in future health-care delivery, ensuring that patients and families of our community have access to the best possible care.”
