GM Drives the It’s Our Time Campaign One Step Closer to the Finish Line

GM Canada supports Niagara healthcare

GM St. Catharines Plant Manager Carolyne Watts (left) proudly presents a $25,000 donation to the It’s Our Time Campaign to Jan R. Cook, Co-Chair North Niagara Cabinet, and Wendy Dueck, Interim Executive Director, Niagara Health System Foundation.

Niagara, ON (August 31, 2011) – The It’s Our Time Campaign received a $25,000 boost from General Motors of Canada Limited in support of the new NHS Healthcare Complex, which is scheduled to open for patient care in the spring of 2013.

In addition to providing a new community hospital for St. Catharines, Thorold and Niagara-on-the-Lake, the Healthcare Complex will benefit all Niagara residents through new and expanded regional services for the treatment of cancer, cardiac, kidney and mental health diseases as Niagara grows its infrastructure of care.

In recognition of this generous gift, a Group Room in the Niagara Regional Mental Health Centre located at the new Healthcare Complex will be named in honour of the company.
