On behalf of the It’s Our Time campaign, fundraiser Rosemary Auld gratefully accepted a $50,000 donation from Great-West Life, London Life and Canada Life in support of Niagara’s new Walker Family Cancer Centre in St. Catharines. The contribution comes through the companies’ national corporate citizenship program.
“On behalf of future patients of the Walker Family Cancer Centre, thanks go to Great-West Life, London Life and Canada Life for this generous gift,” said Auld. “With this donation, they have recognized the importance of this new facility to our Niagara communities, and the critical role it will play in reducing the burden on patients and their families who currently travel outside the region for cancer radiation treatment.”
With the support of good corporate citizens, the It’s Our Time campaign has raised $28 million towards its $40 million goal. The campaign will fund equipment for the Niagara Health System (NHS) Healthcare Complex and Cancer Centre, currently under construction in west St. Catharines, as well as fund equipment and renovations at other NHS hospital sites throughout the Niagara Region.
