STRABAG Donates to It's Our Time Campaign

Niagara, ON (October 29, 2010) – STRABAG’s generous $50,000 donation will support the purchase of new medical equipment for the Greater Niagara General site of the Niagara Health System.

“We are very appreciative of STRABAG’s gift, which helps us provide the most up-to-date equipment for our physicians and allied health-care workers,” says Michael Somerville, Executive Director of Greater Niagara General Hospital Foundation and Campaign Director for Niagara Falls. “We rely on the community and good corporate citizens such as STRABAG as vital partners in delivering an exceptional health-care experience for our patients.”

STRABAG, a world renowned engineering and construction company based in Austria, has extensive experience including tunneling and specialized underground engineering and project development. The company was selected to design and construct the Niagara Tunnel Project in Niagara Falls, scheduled for completion in 2013, enabling Ontario Power Generation to better utilize excess Niagara River water to generate much-needed clean, renewable electricity.
